1096 Days Abstinent From My DOC
I just woke up into today and I decided to count how long it has been since I felt the need or urge to take a drink of alcohol (my drug of choice)... its been 1096 days in a row now. Thank you guys for helping me get here... one day at a time.

Sensational!!
What got me sober was TRYING to get sober. Often when I lapsed, picked up, drank, I FELT thoroughly beaten. I thought at that time "there is no hope for me"
Yet, when I had recovered from that thought just a little, I thought "I'll have another GO!" 
It was a few little sparks, rather than a flame, that got me here!

Congrats on 3 years. I had two years once and relapsed on pot, which made me go back to buying beer. Learned from my mistake. I just went on a 3 month binge and just quit cold turkey 5 days ago. Can’t live like that anymore and be productive.
