    Thumbs up Golden Anniversary

    Hello my Fellow SMARTies!

    I wanted to thank all of you for helping me get to my Golden Sobriety Anniversary from my DOC (alcohol). I reached 6 years of continuous Abstinence on April 6th. Thanks everyone!

    Thankyou so much for all you do here
    What got me sober was TRYING to get sober. Often when I lapsed, picked up, drank, I FELT thoroughly beaten. I thought at that time "there is no hope for me" Yet, when I had recovered from that thought just a little, I thought "I'll have another GO!" It was a few little sparks, rather than a flame, that got me here!

    This made me smile to see some of my fav facilitators on this thread, and the continuous sobriety you've maintained Sleepless. I am inspired by the Facilitators and fellow SMARTies who have a recovery journey that I can witness and learn about to better my own journey as it helps me know I am not alone.
