6 months
Hey everyone, today reached 6 months of sobriety from alcohol. Feeling full of gratitude and proud of the work I've done to remain free from drinking. For the first time in years, ever really, can plan for my future instead of drowning every emotion out. Hope everyone here is doing well in their recovery and for those who are seeking help that they can feel it is possible. I appreciate this resource as a tool and inspiration through the experience of others.

Well done you FunfettiGiraffe!
Congratulations on your gift to yourself and those around you
Well done too on powerfully listing a benefit of your different life.
Go, you good thing! What got me sober was TRYING to get sober. Often when I lapsed, picked up, drank, I FELT thoroughly beaten. I thought at that time "there is no hope for me"Yet, when I had recovered from that thought just a little, I thought "I'll have another GO!"
It was a few little sparks, rather than a flame, that got me here!
